Our machine has done this, it's something to do with the load sensor, thinks it's an uneven load. Try adding some more items and put it on a spin cycle. Good luck !

will try that thankyou
I had this last week and opened the filter at bottom of machine and found 67p stuck in it stopping the machine emptying. cleaned filter and put it back and it worked fine after. Hubby kept 67p saying it had come out of his jeans, well who am I to argue least it wasn't my fault lol
kendra20: He really shot himself in the foot there didn't he. Admitting leaving money in his trousers for the sake of 67p. Tell him that you made a similar mistake 2 days prior to using the machine before it broke - I'm sorry love I also left money in my pocket, 66p. That way it's his fault, he pays for the repair and only gains 1p. Chances are it was his money and you've just made 66p without any effort - this is flawless.
I managed to get my machine working again without any damage, but him being a man said it was my fault for not checking his pockets before washing his jeans, well if I had the money would have been in my purse not in machine lol.
