Dimmer Switch Wiring Earth.

Hi my metal dimmer switch have the C/L1/L2 and earth connector. my inner box already has a earth connected fitted to the inner box itself. does this mean i dont need to disconnect it and re-attach to dimmer plate?

I've connected them.
Yes, and no :-). It is best practice to add an extra earth wire (suitably sleeved in yellow/green) from the backbox earth point to the metal face earth point of the dimmer. However the regs don't actually insist on it IF (and only if) one of the faceplate mounting screw lugs is fixed (not adjustable/sliding)
