Hi All

Can anyone help with suggestions please?

Making lasagne but I am finding that the pasta is soaking up all of the bechamel sauce making the lasagne very dry.

I am using no cook sheets but should I use fresh or par cook the dried pasta?

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I use fresh pasta sheets and par cook them. I never use dry sheets. That's just me though!
Maybe you're making the sauce too thick and don't make the meat sauce too thick either.

Thanks guys.

Don't think either sauce is too thick. Will try the fresh sheets next time and see what happens.
I used to make large trays of lasagne in a pub where I worked. Never pre-cooked sheets of lasagne, but made the sauce myself, which was always more on the runny side, not too thick, and the meat sauce was never too dry. Make sure you use good quality lasagne sheets, otherwise they go very starchy and not nice.
Just make sure that the béchamel and the tomato goo are quite runny if you're using no-cook dried pasta sheets.
