Outside Shelter For A Cat

We have "acquired" a cat, about one year old, I'd say. He appeared in our garden a couple of months ago. We don't know if he was a stray, abandoned or feral. Initially he was very wary of people and would only come to take food if we were a distance away. He has become more trusting of us and will now venture into the conservatory. However, we don't want him in the house at night as he is not house-trained (as we have discovered!!). I have been trying to find the equivalent of a dog kennel for him, something cat-sized, water proof and wind proof that he can shelter in at night if it rains or snows. Does anyone know of any companies that would manufacture such a thing? Or is the answer a small dog kennel?

I'd get a small dog kennel myself - or do you have a shed that you could put a cat door into? Our Rover came to us as a stray - it was three months before he would come indoors. Put a litter tray beside the conservatory door - he'll soon get the hang of it.
Hi Edmund... There are a few on EBay..

You could make one, I myself am going to get round to doing one of these.

Thanks everybody!!
If possible put it up off the ground. Cats like to sleep up.
...but on a surface, LOL, not on stilts :-)
