...has been sentenced to death.
Do the Americans not temper justice with mercy?

not sure what happened to my last two posts, think i was looking at the wrong info...
he killed them no question, i do wonder if he will be executed though
as a matter of fact there are more black males in the American penal system than white, Hispanic, dice are loaded against them for the colour of their skin. Not sure what that has to do with question, but there doesn't seem a lot of mercy in the penal system in the US.
i was watching one of the programmes on Martin Luther King, and a number of those people interviewed said that in states like Alabama, nothing has changed, and in some cases things have got a whole lot worse. They also think that King was a token to the whites in their society and that Obama is pretty much of the same ilk, talks a good talk, but doesn't walk the walk.

// how long did it take you to find that quote? //

I found 3 quotes in which you favour hanging in about a minute.
funny because i don't, i do and did say if it was my child i wouldn't care what happened to them. I have stated categorically in the past that i don't agree with it, it serves no purpose, next time look at bit deeper into what people say, sometimes it's emotional, like the Tia Sharp case, and indeed if one of my family were murdered i really wouldn't care what happened to the individual, that is not to say i would put a rope around their neck or inject them, or indeed stick them in the electric chair, that is barbaric.
you seem to try everything little thing at face value, if i said i agreed with hanging believe me i would say so.
i don't care what happens to the scum who murder little children, or rape and torture women, why would i.

// No to hanging (of Gemma Hayter murderers), even though there are some i would gladly see gone. //

// I wouldn't be lenient with rapists, paedophiles, terrorists and career criminals. They are not deserving of one's sympathy, nor do i think that they should be let out of prison, life in their case should mean that
i am always amazed when people like Peter Sutcliffe ask for parole, his crimes warranted hanging //

Perhaps you should be more consistant in your postings.
where does it say i want to see them hanged, i said over and again i would happily see them gone, doesn't actually mean i would like them to be hung, drawn and quartered. They can rot in prison for the rest of their miserable lives. The death penalty does not exist in Britain. I am pretty sure that had this been the 1950's the likes of Fred West and Sutcliffe would have hanged, that was then, this is now.
and for anyone who knows me, and not on any chat site, knows my views on corporal and capital punishment. But i do think that those who get a life tariff in prison should be that. I am glad to see you are so consistent in all you say, wouldn't we all like to be so perfect
