Absolutely shocking.

To think I cried when my toddler fell over and cut his lip. I just cannot comprehend how anyone could do such thing, especially to a child.

It's stories like this that make me (only a little bit) think the perpetrators should have the same done to them....without the drugs!!!

It's just awful isn't it. I was genuinely gobsmacked reading that article. I just can't get it round my head how someone could do that to anyone and like you say, especially a small child.

Yep, totally agree with that, but I doubt they'll ever be found.

i haven't opened the link, however nothing surprises me, i sat through Slumdog Millionaire, a film widely praised and wondered if anyone felt like me when it came to certain scenes, like the child being deliberately blinded, it's graphic, so he could become a beggar for the man, i hated the film for that.

Although sad and horrible, nothing truely shocks me anymore.

Some people have no regard for human life and see anyone and anything fare game to enhance their own greed and averice.

People are shocked at what goes on in war (even with the geniva convention signed up to by most civilised countries). Humans are the most naturaly cruel and hidious creatures that live and for the vast majority have a god that they atribute their existance to. And yet they still do it!!!

The BBC story on this suggests that Police have now denied that the corneas were missing. I can't decide if this makes it more or less horrific an attack.

No, sadly not. I couldn't stop thinking about this last night, when I was trying to get to sleep. I just can't get my head around human beings, and the things some of them do.
