Does any one know where I can get any prints of this artist, or does anyone know anything about him? I know he did a series of tasteful glamour prints, ie A Ray of Sunshine, Utility Suit etc, I just want to know if I can get them anywhere?

Thanks a lot.

..... and here at http://tinyurl.com/r2quk is a 1940 David Wright ........
Now that's spooky, I'd never heard of him until I followed a link from a watch collectors site I was on and got taken here http://www.ilnprints.co.uk/Default.aspx there's a whole section (210 prints) of his work, I come here and virtually the first question I see is on him!

Spooky or what! Thanks a million. I have been looking for ages for these prints and I only thought yesterday that answerbank may be able to help, I didn't expect to get an answer back so fast.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry for this late reply but I am idly reading older questions this am.
This sounds like it may be similar to the art on 'Mutoscope' cards. American GIs used to collect them I think. Have a look on Ebay to see if they are.
David Wright was my father. He produced and enormous amount of glamour work during 30s, 40s, 50s and a few during the early 60s. You can buy prints of his work fairly easily. You might be interested to know there is a book of his glamour work due out early Sept 2013 called 'Sirens the art of David Wright' by Terry Parker ( he knows more about my father than I do! ). David Wright also produced a strip cartoon for The Daily Mail called Carol Day ( 1956 - 1967 ). You can read all the stories on line should you wish. I am so pleased people are now beginning to appreciate just how good David was. All the best.
