Just watching an interview with a protester. I assume they would like to be taken serously so why are they always represented by a complete hippy with half a pound of metal in their face and tough stickers everywhere? She sounded quite errudite but I don't know what she said for looking at all he scrap in her boat!

No need to worry it could soon be all over the twitchers are on the case.
Dead right, AOG ! Not sure how the pink-footed goose could be affected; none of this destroys sites where they would be; but the complaint appears to be that no assessment was made. The company, according to TV news, said it did do such assessments. Would be a little odd if none were done, considering the assessments, including effect on the environment and archaeological ones, that developers are asked for in the normal course of events
On the Beeb this morning, the RSPB spokesman was focussing on the expected support infrastructure rather than the actual fracking sites. Given that the motorway corridors are known to be rich in wildlife, I wasn't convinced by the arguments he made.

That may be a valid point. Funnily enough, usually when people lie or try to trick me, the tend to look completely 'normal'. The fact that she did not look coventional may indicate she was not attempting to deliberately mislead.
What little experience I have of this kind of situation tells me that it's the TV people who choose who's going to be the spokesperson, even if the protesting organisation objects. And they'll always select somebody who they feel will get you watching.
I'm all in favour of fracking as long as its at least 50 miles away from my area. If it's closer then I'm 100% against it. The same thing applies to wind turbines , motorways, airports and housing developments. Apart from that I'm very open minded and democratic.
