Had similar problems to Cloudpirate, so can I join this thread? 1a: Dancer's postures - bent perhaps, intricately intertwined (10) -r-b-s---s. Looks like ARABESQUES but cannot relate to clue except in definition.

22a: Best food is fancy (7) c???i?e. Looks like CUISINE - but where's the cryptic element?
caprice?
cap=top
rice=food
caprice=fancy
As well as a bent dance posture, an Arabesque is....

An intricate or elaborate pattern or design: "the fluctuating shapes of a cloudscape, the complex arabesque of a camera movement, the blink of a character's eye"
Thanks to Elliemay and Mamyalynne. Actually, it's the 1a clue that's really not very cryptic. Suppose you could call it a double-definition.
I think you are right, is the best I could see - sorry.
I want to explain the clue - it's a beauty - "bent" is a type of grass i.e. "foliage". Look at the clue again!
Comment to Cryptomaniac and Cloudpirate -
