Will someone remind Janet Street-Porter that the programme is Celebrity Masterchef, not Celebrity Good But Rather Scruffy Home Cook? Why is she so against presentation of food - I'm sure she puts a lot of work into the presentation of her writing.

Her voice is almost as annoying as the woman who does the voice over-y bits every week.
I have the same attitude - it's food, it's good, eat it - it'll be more messy where it's going :-)

I'm certainly not into elaborate presentation of the food I cook at home but at a restaurant I think that a beautiful presentation, like an appetising aroma, adds a lot to the enjoyment of the food. Just as I think a well constructed piece of writing helps to get a message across better than a sloppy, ill-spelt jumble.
Sorry Lardy, but you are wrong.

No one comes near being as annoying as voiceover woman.
Yes Hopkirk, on reflection, you are, of course, correct.
Celebrity and JSP ?
Question Author
While we're on voiceovers, I don't think this woman even comes near the bloke on Come Dine With Me on the annoyance stakes.
But he does it on purpose - it's a feature of the show.

Quite possibly, but he still makes my hackles rise.

I like J S-P and I think that they knew what they would get when the put her in the show.
I was sorry Jo had to go
Do they get paid to do it, like they do on "I'm a Celebrity..."?
Question Author
I'm not a great fan of JSP, Woofgang, but I agree the producers not only knew what to expect but encourage her to 'play JSP' and exaggerate her more annying characteristics. It's just one of the reasons why I don't normally like celebrity versions of shows because they tend to be so contrived.
John and The Greengrocer are so stiff they could be Woodentops
Always worried about cooking shows .Presentation my foot .If you had to eat spuds raw eggs ,bread and butter you would soon get used to it .Who does these shows cater for if you will excuse the pun
