I have seen "pooper" bins for domestic use. You dig a hole in the garden, insert bin and dispose of waste. I believe some chemicals are added.
Have I imagined this or can anyone advise where to buy?
Many thanks

If you were to feed your dog a Raw Meaty Bones diet (Look up RMB on the internet) you'd find that the dog hardly poos at all, and when it does, poo does not smell, it is really hard/chalky, white and really easy to pick up. Not remotely offensive like most of the sticky smelly dog poo, we all see about everywhere. Please message me if you want details on feeding RMB/advice. : )

jomifli, its an issue of scale. If the dogloos were much bigger and the hole used was deeper then they would work like an earth closet..my experience is that they are too small.

In the past (around 20 years ago) I have known people who have still used the earth closet system and yes it works well.
btw, in most places in the Uk, I believe that earth closets now do not comply with planning law so you can't make a new one. you can however use things like reed bed sewage treatment.
