My bits and pieces are in the Bank too, but I gather that they will no longer do this, so was wondering about alternatives.

I've got 2 Expanding file boxes full of docs. I hardly have any jewelry and what I do have is in a small toiletry bag.

house deeds are online at the land registry, will is at solicitors in fireproof storage, a copy is with my executor and its also registered at the Will Registry, share certs, i have none its all online, jewellery is in my knicker drawer.

Different things in different places. Solicitor is holding Wills (and we've told our executors how to contact them), other small stuff is in the home safe. I wouldn't ask the bank to keep things, they charge.
