Hi all. I am the only one who keeps getting a full page advert - not even a pop up advert - from Wanandoo filling the screen without clicking on the advert?

I'm getting really fed up with this. I Wanadont thank you very much.

I appreciate the requirement for commercial adverts - wouldn't have the facility without their prescence, but this is intrusive and as it is a full screen really hacks me off.

Doesn't happen to me, nickmo.

I got one this morning but it was something to do with China and holidays and was located in the top right hand corner of the site to click on although I didn't click on it.I hope it was an isolated glitch, if it's going to become a banner swamp I out of here because pop up attacks really tick me off.

have had the problem with the right hand ads occasionally, I have been sure that I have only moused over them but they have expanded as if I had clicked.

Ed maybe the monks could take a look?

Hi

Its not on our end - clear your cache and you probably have spyware unintentionally installed.

I think part of the problem lies in the fact that the adverts appear on a white background and the page edges have a white background so it is difficult to see where the advert boundaries are.

I have sometimes scrolled the wheel on my mouse, only to find the page won't move, so I click at the side of the page in what I think is a blank area to get the scroll wheel to become active. I have often found an advert pops up then. You can see the limits of the hotspots if you carefully move the mouse around and note where the icon changes from a pointer to a hand.

If I was cynical, I might even imagine this was a deliberate ploy to increse advertising revenue from all these inadvertent clicks.

Thanks for comments. Ed - I have a firewall of unbelieveable thickness and density surrounded by lead walls and enrobed in borosilicate glass . ******* still get in. The cache is cleared after each internet session as well as dumping spyware files and clearing history and cookies. Paranoid but routine, so I'll keep an eye on the cursor and presume as gen2 says the border is un-defined so the ads will be caught that way.
Yeah there's no way i have adare either, i'm similarly paranoid, plus it's only ever your ads......
