I thought it was the end to Glen Campbells Wichita Lineman song.. look at this clip at about 2.28.. it's the orchastry (is there such a word?) bit at the end... but what would I know.. I was only 1 when it was released...!!

He does/has used Glen Campbell's Witchita Lineman in his shows and i think he did used to end with it but he finishes his show now with Anthony James - Steve Wright's Closer theme, it links very well with the pips!

Used to be in the BBC Radio 1 Steve Wright In The Afternoon Show in the '80s and early '90s lots of folk in their 40's will remember it there...
