Non-terrestial channels. Different censorship standards?

I am watching BBC3 at 2.30 in the afternoon. The bad language would not be allowed before 9pm, if at all, on BBC.


Are the rules different for non-terrestial tv, and if so, why?

This is a 'free' channel available to anybody.

I was under the impression that BBC3 didn't start broadcasting until 7.00pm????

I am watching the programme on teleport! I don't know what time it would normally be broadcast.
