i recently had my computer serviced, since then when i connect to a usb port the computer freezes, any ideas why many thanks

Sorry daithebus I can't think what has gone wrong. Can you not telephone and ask whoever 'serviced' your computer what it might be.

Is it anything you connect to a USB socket that causes the problem or do you have anything already connected that works allright.

Try re-installing the usb driver from Microsoft.

Just make sure you select the correct operating system from the options.
