Here is an update on round up gel that I started using on bind weed, it seems to be working, the bind weed has gone yellow and brown and has stopped growing, but I have kept at it, every day I go out and treat any new little shoots that come up overnight, I wont dig or plant anything this year as I dont want to risk breaking off any roots ths still have life in them, I am on my 2nd pack of gell, I found a shop where I could get it for £8,98 instead of the £11,99 that I paid for the first lot.

It doesn't seem to be working on my ground elder. Good luck with your bindweed.
you really do have to persevere but it worked on my immortal nettle patch last year
You do right not digging it up this year if you don't need to. giveup; it does work on ground elder but needs treating twice at a week's interval then left to die.
I am certainly not enamoured with it ! More and more dandelions slyly smile at me every morning showing their liking for the blooming stuff!
It took me 2 years, but I did at last get rid of the bindweed/columbine. Thank goodness - it had hung aorund for decades bedore I bought the same really expensive stuff.

julia mag, just put a little ordinary salt in the center of your dandies and they will die, untill they do don't let them shed seeds, pluck off the flowers as soon as you see them.
