My subscription ends at the end of June. Will I get a full year's subscription or a couple of days before I have to subscribe to the paper?

I renewed my subscription on May 25 and have now received a mail which says that I will have crossword membership until June 30 2014 together with complimentary access to The Times and The Sunday Times websites (which I don't currently subscribe to) until the same date after which I need to subscribe to the newspapers which will also give me membership of the crossword club. I do not know if this will have a cost implication.

As the effective date of the proposed change is July 1 2013 I assume you would be in a similar situation but they offer the following contact detail which may help you get clarification:-

'If you have any questions or comments please contact us by phone on 020 7711 1528 or via email at [email protected].'

Hope this helps
I have just re-read the mail I received and it also includes the following:-

'Two things will happen next. Between now and July 1, 2013, you will receive an email from The Times and The Sunday Times confirming that your Web Pack access is live. Additionally, WorldPay will independently confirm via email that no further payments will be taken from your account on or after July 1, 2013 in respect of your Crossword Club membership.

All subscriptions renewing up to this date will be processed.'

I think the last sentence may be particularly relevant to your circumstance

The crossword club sub was £24 pa - the webmail sub will be £104 pa.

I don't want the Times online newspaper - I'm swamped with free news already.

So - before my sub expires, I'm going to download as many old crossies as possible before I have to find another crossie.

The guardian - er sorry Grauniad crossie is still free online - for how long, I wonder?

Oldred. Thanks for the assistance.

"The crossword club sub was £24 pa - the webmail sub will be £104 pa. "

Of course if you actually had to buy the paper for the crossword £24 would buy you less than 4 weeks of puzzles, whereas buying it every day would cost getting on for £350.
