All answers are sweets (past and present). No number of letters given.

1. What a din in the kitchen
2. These melt in your mouth, not in your hand - I already have the answers M and M's and Minstrels ('the exact centre in room and moor' and 'Old fashioned wandering musicians' so do you think this is 'Treats'. So confusing when several answers seem to be correct!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks Tilly2 - I'm old enough I should have remembered that!
1 Pan drops?
think old-fashioned wandering musicians is minstrels
Melt in your mouth, not in your hand, was the advert for maltesers
almost certain number 2 is Treets. Were maltesers not the choc with the less fattening centres.
The sweets that melt in your mouth not in your hand was definately treets.

Thanks everyone for all your input. @Flyhalf - sure 'Pan Drops' will be right for no.1. Still debating about answer to no.2 but think it must be 'Treets'. Even though M&M seemed to hi-jack the slogan later on I think it was 'Treets' that started it.
2) Definitely Treets. Here is a link.
