Am lookign to buy some straps to secure my sister's surfboard to her roof. The choice seems to be between either 3m or 5m in length. Does it make much difference which ones to get? She just has a small Clio. Would the 5m ones be too long? Thanks

I use 5m ones to tie down a 14ft canadian canoe- these go all the way around with plenty of extra to tie down the end of the canoe as well- so I think 5m would be over the top for tying down a surfboard with the annoyance of having to safely tie the excess out of the way. A quick google shows surfboard tie-downs in 2.5 or 3.5m lengths so guess 3m is a good length
