I want out of my job, had enough. But it's years since I wrote a CV.

I've googled and there are thousands of results, I just don't know what's good and bad to do.

Can anyone give some tips for a decent CV?

I know you need to adapt it to the job you apply for but I haven't started searching yet, want to get the main CV done first.

Thanks Maidup, I'll have a read.
Keep it short- 2 pages.
Get someone to proof read it. (I recently looked at one I'd sent out and found the typed date for one qualification was wrong by 30 years.)
Be prepared to tweak it for different jobs to reflect the requirements.
Use good quality paper.
