...it's better to keep asking questions in here rather than Google things for oneself? Get other people to do the work for you instead of looking for yourself, is this how AB works......

Incidentally I agree with China.
I sometimes wish people would actually think a out the sites name and use the search facility.

"In DIY, I Google quite a lot for people. I can have a read, and "interpret" it for them. It seems to work well :o) "

You always do an excellent job of interpreting and explaining. You've helped me to understand DIY so many times you'd never know... and thanks :)
I know I can use a wooden spoon to stir, can I also use a wooden spatula?

^^^ That is a question that can be easily asked on AB but harder to get a definitive response on Google.

So, to answer your question.......each has it's place.
I also like the varied answers/responses you get on here. One could learn a thing or three on here.

Society, that's what I mean, people are so kind and helpful on here, I wouldn't be without answer bank and no doubt many more feel the same way.
It is a wonderful cross section of people with different strings to their bows - the harder the question the more I love to find an answer (if am quick enough).
Society, thank you so much for your comment.

With the variety on here, I have to say that I've learned so much more than I've ever given out.
The site makes money, and we get an education ;o)
I do often search search Google first but I often get the answer but the answer is so often very long and convoluted that it just confuses me even more, being Dyslexic I find a lot of this stuff very difficult to grasp, I usually get answers on here that are explained much simpler but not always. Long answers and questions, even jokes I really never read because I get lost after just a few lines.

I think this site is great, especially for Dyslexics, things are "usually" explained in a far simpler matter, not always though lol.

eccles, you made tea come out of my nose!
Sorry Bednobs ;-)
It made me smile too, Beddy. That sounded like something Molly would say. :) I wish she'd come back.
Every time I see something pop up in the grey box under the heading 'Do you think...', I'm tempted to type 'Not very often'.

I'll get my coat. :o)
