Bluetooth Dongle

I am trying to buy a Bluetooth dongle for a netbook (win7) that does not have bluetooth on it, I have noticed that even on the so called "Tiny" ones that some stick out of the usb port more that others, why is this and can anybody recommend a really small one that will not protrude too far as I want to leave it permanently attached.

I think that needs a bit of clarification.

Quite simple Zacs-Masters The netbook is not Equiped with nor has bluetooth
installed on it which is why I want to buy a bluetooth dongle as it allows you to connect to a device that has not got bluetooth on it, is that plain enough?
