I got my clock back today, and I am very pleased with what the clockmaker has done. He collected, repaired, delivered and set it up for me. I have had it moved so that it is safe from any knocks.
Thanks a lot to everyone who showed an interest in it. (He dates it circa 1890).
Look forward to many years enjoying it.
Many thanks again

Thanks for the update.
Glad you found a good and honest repair person. I was following the thread about it. Hope it last you forever and you get much enjoyment from it.
Well done. If nobody breathes on it, it should keep going ! Out of the way of any knocks is the best idea. They're fine clocks, those.

good to see that everything went like clockwork

i'll get my coat
Ooooh lovely things! :)
Thanks for the update, abstibus; I'm glad that everything worked out for you. I'm guessing that it cost you around 150GBP to have it seen to...Beautiful clocks those are.
