I live in London and need to sell my car which has no mot and I am still paying the car off...i am going to have to scrap it as the MOT will cost another 300for repairs. Therefore it would be better for me to scrap it. But unfortunately i am not in the position financialy to just let it go. Does anyone know where I can have it sold as scrap metal so I can at least get a few poinds on it..

If you are not signed up, join ebay and sell it for spares/repair, buyer collects. You should get something for it.
good luck.
You cannot gey anything for your car as scrap metal, breakers yards now charge for taking cars away. As bandit says advertise it for spares/repair.
just sell it, someone will buy it as a project - as long as you are honest about what is wrong with it, and don't let them drive it, you should make a few quid
I don't know what the situation is in London but I sold a Fiesta for scrap in North Bucks 6 months ago for 30 which is I believe pretty much the going rate around here.

There was a time not long ago that you had to pay to have them taken away but that seems to have changed
In a similar situation I sold an old car of mine to a banger racer. Try advertising in the local Adtrader/Freeads etc. I did and I did not put a price I just put "Offers". Someone offerred me 20 which was great as I'd previously been told by the breakers that they'd charge me 25 to take it away, even though it was a runner.
If you are still paying the car off - depending on the type of loan you may not be able to sell it off

How did you take out the loan for the car?
tubeway makes a vald point. If you still have "intertest" in the vehicle or if the vehicle is registered to the loan or lease company, you are not legally allowed to sell or scrap it as it is not legally owned by you.

check before committing yourself to anything.

tubeway.
Thanks for your answer i probably phrased it a bit wrong, I owe on repair that was done just a few weeks ago before it was due for a mot. (owe my parents) So when it went for the mot they said it would cost a further 300 to get it through the MOT. And i am a mature student and have to look after money, I dont need it in London and it is a big car and costing me far to much. It is a old mazda 626 L registration so I dont think it is worth holding on to it...seems to cost me money old the time. Just a shame to just scrap it and not get a penny for it. Still looks great and outside and inside in very good nik but have to face it cant afford it, has no mot at the moment and tax is due again...
