Having purchased something on line from Ashley and Burwood, they use DPD as their Courier.
I had a clear notice on our letterbox requesting if no reply to deliver to our neighbour.
Courier told A&B they had put a card through our door to say they had tried to deliver. They di neither!!
Then had email confirmation from A&B saying they had sorted it out and the Courier would deliver on 7th to our neighbour ( we were away at a funeral)
The Courier delivered on 6th and just dumped it on the ground outside our flat!! Have since discovered these reviews of DPD

I certainly won't be ordering online from any company which uses DPD.
They tell untruths and have no regard for what they are delivering. Maybe they cannot read? There was a notice clearly visible on our front door requesting them to deliver to our neighbour's no. GRRRRRRR

They are well out of order, hate bad service and lies.
I hope you complained to Ashley & Burwood - they need to know about these things.
You must have a very different depot to me as I have had excellent service from DPD.
I agree with eccles - DPD are by far the most reliable courier to my address ... whereas ParcelFarce ... don't even start me on them.
I've had similar problems recently, was given a 1 hour slot for delivery of parcel, fine I thought, it never turned up, managed to email the company and was told driver unable to find the address. Then told would deliver in another 1 hour slot the following day, gave them my phone number so I could 'talk the driver in' still no delivery or apology. After several attempts managed to get through to a very unhelpful person who couldn't care less at DPD depot by phone was told the parcel was to be returned to the supplier as they were unable to deliver. (Some delivery service eh?) After many more emails and long waits for phone calls to be answered by DPD and supplier eventually got the stuff a week later after the parcel had been up and down the country.

Very bad service, no apologies at all from DPD, seems to be my fault for living somewhere they can't find when sat nav would bring them straight here.

NB They have something ridicuously named as a 'sortage facility' at the depot where my parcel was dumped. Perhaps they shoud stick to the old term 'sorting office' as used by the PO.

Yes, Ashley & Burwood know exactly what I think lof DPD ( and them for not taking a harder line with them) DPD had clear instructions which they utterly failed to follow. A&B knew about these instructions and said they had 'forwaded my complaints to DPD'.. not good enough really. I shall no longer do any online shopping which involves DPD
