What's that all about? How can crisps be hand-cooked? Even in the "regular" crisp factories they have some human operatives making sure that everything is working correctly. "Ordinary" crisps are not made by robots, though obviously a lot of the work is done by machines. I don't know for certain, but I very much doubt that the "hand-cooked" crisps are sliced by hand, or packed into the bags by hand.
And why on earth would anyone pay a premium price for "hand-cooked" crisps?

Maybe buyers don't go by the description but by the product ?
Because they can. Because they like the flavour. Because they want to kid themselves that they're a cut above. Because they go well with a nice bottle of Rioja. Or just......because.
