it has? oh rats - just when I can't think of anything I want to look up. It was long overdue, though. Maybe it will stop the same Qs appearing week after week, especially quiz ones... or maybe it won't. Still, a free tonsure to the monk who fixed it.

You've beat us to it! The search facility has been updated and greatly improved. Our technical team has been testing it for the last couple weeks and launched it yesterday afternoon.

We will also be introducing a "blog" to keep you all up to date with the latest AB news and technical updates.

looked up my own name, as vic suggested. It says there are 1850 results - but it will only show me the first 1000, or 50 pages. Presumably this is a limit on any search? Pity, some of my finest answers were the earliest ones, and I was going to frame them.

Just discovered it can be used to your detriment.

Someone put my name in today and came up with a recent thread in which I to my great shame was having a laugh with another ABer and posted that there was something going on between us.

This is because we had a laugh on her thread last night and she took the huff because she received E-Mails.

Needless to say we were deleted along with Quizmonster who had the audacity to suggest she Google first instead of posting in TV and Film.

I didnt realise you couldnt have a laugh with someone else and also was not aware you could be deleted for a fairly pertinent reply.

I am still laughing at the pettiness of it all.BB is alive and well in the name of ............. better not!!

Yet someone else who is abusing this facility to basically see your profile without the groundwork.The problem is, again, it is all out of context - but I am being slated yet again because I have a different opinion.

Always a downside to a fab idea.

I feel you should only be allowed to look at your own profile.I can just see the fun and games - you said this on the 25.6.05 at 23.57 etc etc.The trolls will have a field day.
