I was asked this question last night "are 0800 calls free from a public phone box"not having used one for more years than I can remember I had no idea.My guess is that they are free.

I was thinking about phone boxes earlier, as another post reminded me...but I honestly couldn't tell you where my nearest one is!

Does everyone else know where the nearest one to them is?

Nearest one to me is about 250 yards from the house - but that is only if it is working. Nearest one after that is 2 miles away!!

There used to be one in our village but it was removed about five years ago.

I wouldn't have a clue where the nearest payphone is. Probably have to go into the town centre, or the seafront.
