I realised this morning, that it a very long time since I heard the Dawn Chorus, and began wondering is it me or have the birds stopped ? Please tell me that somewhere the Dawn Chorus is still going strong.

I was woken this morning by a Song Thrush. When I came downstairs and opened the door to let the dogs out, the sound was wonderful!

It's still going in South Yorkshire. I hear itwhen I take the dog out at 6 o'clock in the morning!
Probably been put on hold cos of the late freezing weather.
Still here in Essex
Still here, north coast and two doves who never shut up
It's a bit late in coming this year. Couldn't hear any sign of it at dawn today, but the birds have started to find their voices here in South Cambs, so it should be soon.
As it gets warmer, the dawn chorus will get bigger and better and louder. Can't wait:-)

Thank you for all your comments, my local birds must be getting up a bit late because of the cold, the first calls I hear are the !!!!! seagulls, two of which have adopted our bird feeder stations every morning at 8o/c before the smaller birds appear. The sparrows chatter away all day long till 4o/c then its night night, silence...... Think they must be 'working to rule'
Yes, still going strong here a few miles south of Derby. The crows start squawking about 4am!!...and the small tuneful ones gradually join in over the following hour.
