Laptop Sound Problem

Morning all,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 - it's about 3/4 years old.

I seem to be having a slight problem with the sound whereby every couple of minutes the sound fades/goes for about a second or two - sort of a blip. This may not sound much of a problem but it really irritates.

Even though I use an external speaker via a dongle this also happens via the laptop speakers.

I've reset the sound to default.

Is this the end of my laptop or is there something I can do?

Many thanks

B

Sounds like a capacitor has died or is on its last legs. Take it to a computer repair shop and find out if its worth repairing ; you might also like to ask how much for a replacement computer.
