For sombody who wishes to do a refresher course on Microsoft Office on a Home PC with the intention of returning to work within a couple of months can someone advise me as to which Office system should be used - MS Office 2010 or 2013 (...and Home or Pro)??? Thank You in advance.

Microsoft Office 2010 Professional. We have all versions of Microsoft Office 2013 "on hold" because some key mainstream software packages just don't integrate with that release.

I doubt you will find many offices using Office 2013 yet, my workplace has only just gone over to Office 2010!!

I suspect it matters little. if you can use one it'd just be a short adjustment period to get fluent with the other. I'd tend to go for the latest you can afford for longevity reasons.

Yes, I used to work in IT and we rarely upgraded to the next version until we were saisfied that it was stable.....sometimes it took a couple of years. 2010 it is.
