I wanted to answer you post re. Baroness Thatcher, but had to go out and now cannot find the thread....LOL

However it has been noticed that most of the people of left of centre political persuasion has indeed acted with tact, respect and decorum and this is much appreciated.
Ken Livingstone and Tony Benn advisories of Baroness Thatcher also spoke with respect and appropriate condolences on TV this morning.

your post was well received and appreciated.

Thank you Sqad.

I am honestly embarrassed by some of the comments and actions displayed by my fellow "loony lefties" and Scots.

To dance and celebrate anyone's death is disgusting.
It is not in the interest of public figures to do otherwise.

(Besides one can respect the ability of someone to succeed in their chosen career whilst holding little or no respect for what they did as a result of reaching the top of the ladder.)

The reaction to those whose lives were blighted is understandable though. Many will feel that a false/fake reaction would be unwarranted and hypocritical.
As is being a hypocrite 2sp. Baaing along with the crowd because it is the expected response and not how you really feel is at best weak and at worst pathetic.

If people choose to mourn someone they did not know personally that's up to them. If others do not wish to do so then that is also up to them.
I'm not being a hypocrite or a sheep, MissN.

I could spout endlessly about how and why I didn't like Mrs T, but out of respect for the fact that she has only just died I'll hold my tongue.

I'm not suggesting that others should fake grief or a sense of loss, just that sometimes saying nothing is the best response.

If you can't say anything nice, then say nothing at all.
I didn't say or mean that *you* were 2sp I was talking in general terms.
:-)
My apologies if it read that way.
Don't worry about MissN, I apologise for reading it that way!
