My grampa brought a panasonic TV for Chrsitmas for himself. However, it keeps on getting *blips* every few mins, they are only a millisecond long, but it can disrupt the picture and sound. I think it is becuase of his arieal (spelling) and the fact it is indoors and because he is on the edge of freeview recieving. What do you people think? Thanx Rich.

Sounds like it wht happens to mine when the signal for the nicam stereo broadcast becomes weakened.

Best get him to get a loft arial from argos for a tenner and get it put up so he can watch blip-free tv....
I used to worry about this and changed to a high gain aerial, I was also changing TV's to the latest Flat Screen TV and it still happens. Spoke to other people and they get the same. It must be the transmission in Freeview Digital. I would think a good outdoor TV aerial would make a dramatic improvement to the quality anyway as the odds are against you having indoor aerial But you will still get the blips.
