My Jeep Cherokee 2.8 Crd Mirrors

I am slowly going mad...The external mirrors on my Jeep have ceased to operate correctly. i.e They have ceased to retract and have now become so loose that any speed over 30 mph they fold in on their own. Apart from the retraction problem all other electrical operations work correctly. I have combed ebay and searched on line to find some reasonably priced replacements to no avail. I wonder therefore if any of you out there can offer a solution Many Thanks in advance...
