It's rather sad I find that people are more obsessed with capturing the moment than enjoying it. I'm not a religious man but I would have thought all that technology rather ruins the reverence of the event.

Correction: 2005 and 8 years apart.
I noticed that, when I put the news on at 7:00 p.m.

The camera was panning across the crowd and I could spot five or six people with ipads. I think I'd rather have used my Bridge Camera, than an ipad with only 5 megapixels resolution (And a much higher chance of getting it nicked).
You get such good pictures on the media that I can't see the point in trying to record your own.

Good Pic

To me, an Argentine Pope sounds like a cocktail you'd order at TGIF, or maybe the Savoy.
Remarkable, no wonder camera shops are going out of business...
Thats progress for you.

It makes one wonder what the quality of the image would be, taking into account the distance, and the fact that the flash will be useless at that distance.

Hardly paparazzi equipment.
And I thought the world is going through recession ans credit crunch.
The Pope's still an old white man. Some things never change.
