I am looking to bid for a Lexmark X8350 printer on ebay.
I notice from the description of the printer that is fax enabled, and the first thing on the set-up instructions is to connect it to a phone line.
The trouble is, I am not bothered about using the fax facility, so I wonder if it would still work, if it was not connected to a phone socket.

Yes it would still work as a printer. As long as you have the printer cables (USB) connected to your PC computer.
If you don't intend on using the fax facility, don't connect it up to the line.
Just install the printer drivers and ignore the fax setup stage.

Thank you fanriffic, I was hoping that was the case.
denis.....You've had a Fanriffic answer before I could tell you likewise. :-)
Seems to be a well reviewed model too.
