Hi, I have suffered from miss-carriage of justice. I detailed my case here long time ago. I was found guilty and my legal aid was taken away, also find £6000 and had to pay my own legal cost. Furthermore I had to do 180 hour community. I have been a law biding citizen I have done everything as required of me.

As if this is not enough I have Rossandale chasing me for legal aid money. I keep telling them I was awarded legal but then it was taken away because I changed my solicitors. I paid all costs and don’t owe anyone anything. They would not listen to me despite writing to them a number of and letters and fax. I am fed up with them and don’t trust the law. I don’t know what I am supposed to do.

so did you actually benefit from any legal aid? Did any solicitor that you employed receive any legal aid payment and can you prove this?

Hi Woofgang,

I did not benefit as I paid all costs including first solicitor, second solicitors, court fines etc.

The first solicitor made the application, I changed them because I was not happy with them. 2 days before the trial the judge called us all. My new solicitor explained that I was not happy with them and that I have a right to change. The Judge said OK, but you can't get legal aid.

I have paid taxes all my working life (31 years) to pay for their wages, when you need them they say no.

Thanks for your interest.
I have looked at your profile. A year ago you were found guilty by jury of ABH. You must have deicided to go for a Jury trial as ABH is normally a magistrates court offence. Sorry, but you only have yourself to blame, if you had peaded guilty in the first place you would have got a small fine ,short community service or quite possibly a conditional discharge.
If you had as you state '' been a law abiding citizen'' you would not have been found guilty got a £6000 fine and 180 hour community service.
sounds like the best thing you can do is write to rossandale outlining the bills and including photocopies of your receipts

Hi EDDIE51,

I did say I suffered from miss-carriage of justice. In the past I thought offenders are not punished enough. Now I know many innocent people are caught up. My story is long and I just want to forget it. That is the reason I paid all the money and took the community charge. But I know now if there is no clear cut evidence like CCTV the case becomes 50/50.
Thanks.
