I have a new (to me) PC case. It's a Antec Sonata. I need to source new trays or caddys to put my existing IDE HDDs in.

They're not the normal sort of design, and my existing ones won't bolt in anywhere.

Googling for "Antec Sonata HDD Tray" or "Antec Sonata HDD Caddy" has been unrewarding. Ditto eBay.

Any advice on what I should actually refer to these things as, or where might be a good place to look?

Looking at the Web site pictures of the types of drive bays fitted in the Sonata range, they appear to have rubber silicone plug style 'feet' / grommets. They are called 3.5" Internal Drive Trays.
To give you a better idea of what you need by selecting your case and d/l the manual.

Not sure if they would be available separately
I've no experience of your PC case but if it has no bays of hte right saize it may be possible to add them. If that is not possible then maybe your old drives could be fitted into exernal cases and pugged into your USB ports ?

The website picture below shows a slide tray that can also be fitted in the Solo unit as an option, but that also uses the silicon plug 'feet' / grommet mounts:

An installation manual for the Sonata SOLO II unit is also available from this link (see page 16, comes with silicone grommets as standard):

If the grommet feet are missing spares are available here, (if Antec ship to uk):
