Apologies if I should have posted this in technology, but chatterbank gives super fast answers! If I want to copy things I have recorded from Sky TV, is it a DVD burner, or DVD rewriter I should look for, and anyone got any recommendations for a decent one? and of course where should I buy from. I keep asking my son, but all he does is grunt and say he will look into it! Thanks in advance.

No difference as far as I am aware. Burning a disk is basically a term used to describe writing to it.

They are fairly cheap these days, go for a known name, it should be fine. (Might be worth ensuring it can write in all the still available standards though.)
Help us out, please.

You state that you've recorded things from Sky but you've not told us which device you've used to do that. If we know where the recordings currently are, we'll be in a better position to help you. It might also help to know what optical drives your PC (or laptop) already has.

Strictly speaking, a simple DVD writer (=burner) can only record data to non-rewriteable disks, whereas a DVD rewriter can record onto re-writeable disks. However nearly all modern DVD writers include the rewriting function as standard.
