I really could not tell you re the above as it is so extremely personal but she has had the complaint for some time and "hormones" are involved - consultants etc seem to be baffled with her complaint and unfortunately last night I went onto internet cos sister read that some of her complaints matched hers when I read the information (please don't say that wrong information was read - the information is exactly as she has told me) and I was very very upset and was crying - I am still very upset today - can anybody tell me why I take on everybody's problems so bad. I am quite depressed for her cos I don't know whether she is going to get any better. Sorry for not releasing her personal problems so that some of you could help but just need help for me to try and be a bit philosophical or whatever.

I read this and my immediate thought was what do you want me or any other poster to say ?

You're a star an absolute star, Connemmara. The world needs more people like you.

MadMen thanks for your logical answer but I would feel a sense of betrayal if I said what it is and I am aware that there are lot of people who could help but I will leave it at that. Thanks again.
I stopped googling symptoms as it can be very scary. I was curious about the way I was feeling a few years ago (tired, body aches, lack of concentration and some IBS) and because I suffer with anxiety from time to time it tapped into my anxiety and I became almost convinced I was seriously ill despite tests showing no medical problems. Luckily I got my anxiety under control and eventually the physical issues went away by themselves, leaving me to conclude it was mostly in my head! I know this may be unrelated but like most have said a Doctor has the luxury of tests to be totally sure.
Its almost in our nature sometimes to look for the worst possible scenario based on symptoms even if the website you visit lists many possibilities, some easily treatable and non life threatening..
Ok Conne. It sounded like I was being nosey, which I can assure you I wasn't. I just thought it may help you to feel less worried, but that's entirely your call and something I understand.
Keep your chin up :-)
Connemmara - are you saying that your friend and your sister have the same complain or I am i reading that wrong?

Either way, if your friend doesnt know about AB and you arent naming her then I dont see why you cant tell us and we may be able to offer better advice/help?
Jd, the mind is a powerful thing!
