My Cat's climbing the window frame and eating pvc around the windows how do I stop this? It is driving me mad. I have tried a spray that only she smells and it is supposed to put her off- no avail. I tried putting orange peel around the window nothing. Someone has suggested a water spray and spraying her but I am too soft anything that cats dont like the smell of?

Anything citrus should do it - like a herbal oil.

But to be honest the water squirter is the best option, it doesn't harm them its just a short sharp shock that what they are doing is wrong.
Eating the PVC frame gordie1 or do you mean the silicon sealant that's around the frame ?.
Is she teething, gordie? (Do cats teethe? I don't know anything about cats)
Eucalyptus oil, they absolutely hate the stuff. I used to sprinkle it on my rubbish bags to stop the cats tearing them open.
Kit-E-Kat.
What is she actually doing? Is she gnawing the window frames?

Gnawing the window frames and eating the sealant as well as scratching the window frames with her claws I love her very much but she is a little bizzom at times !!
Try giving the frames a wipe over with some Lemon Jiff wipes, cats don't like citrus stuff.
Can you also give her something else to chew?
Get some of those doggie chewie strips maybe ?
It is a habit she has gotten into and you need to break it.

Try the aversion therapy first, giving her a different treat means that she will start to be naughty just to get treats!!
Definitely try the water spray. And don't let her see you do it-it needs to be an unexpected shock...

*....says she whose cat thinks the water spray is a game*
Yes, water spray, gordie - it won't hurt her, just put her off - and say No! very firmly at the same time. She's little, she'll learn - you need to break this habit NOW. Water won't hurt her, a water pistol is ideal.
You can get cat chew strips in the supermarkets which you could try.
She's little, she's still learning - she has to learn what she can't do as well as what she can.
Gordie, from your previous posts I am guessing she's at the age where she's teething. Our kitten tried to eat everything a few months ago for this reason! The best tip we were given is to buy a packet of plastic drinking straws (the bendy ones) and give her those to chew on - it stopped most of the chewing round the house (and it's really cute when she carries them round the house with her!). We also bought her one of those slightly larger kickeroo toys if she needed something bigger to chomp on. If she won't leave certain things along, Pets At Home sell something called 'Pet Behave' spray which smells strongly of citronella and really stops them going near it.
