Can one download from, say iplayer, or any other catch -up site to a memory stick, then plug it into a TV with a USB port?
The angle of the screen on my laptop is no good for my Mother to watch the programmes she has missed due to wearing bi-focal glasses.

I Live In Australia And Have Just Had Solar Panels Fitted.

Why complicate things? Simple connect the laptop to the TV directly using a VGA cable or HDMI cable (if your laptop has HDMI output), either is as good.
