Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of a taxi (day time) from Temple Meads to central Bath? I realise there websites that quote but I don't seem to be getting anywhere with that - so please just quote from personal experience if possible. Thanks.

The AA route finder gives the distance as 12.4 miles.

Bristol's metered cabs charge £2.60 for the first 218 yards, and 20p for each 218 yards thereafter. My calculator makes that come to £22.60.

Of course taxi drivers don't have to stick to the metered fares if they're travelling beyond the city boundary, so you should ask for a quote first.

Private hire firms are often cheaper. V Cars has a good reputation in the area. Call 01179 25 26 26 for a quote.

Why not get the train? Bath station is central, and if you are at Temple Meads anyway, you could think about it.
I did wonder why a taxi would be the transport of choice. If they have to come back again I'd expect the rate to rise.

It wouldn't be the transport of choice, just an option - as there is either a 3 minute ush for a connection or a 40 minute wait from TMeads to BSpa ..... just considering the options ... thanks for the info!
The train journey from BTM to Bath is really quick compared to how long it takes by road.
3 minutes at Temple Meads isn't a connection - the official connecting time is 10 minutes

You might make it if you don't have to cross a bridge to get to the platform but otherwise not
