Has anyone else noticed on the Barclays advert which has a girl pointing to the things she wants as she grows up that the word parasitic has been removed? It started with the words When the parasitic bundle of joy is born……………… Now it doesn’t.
How many complaints do you think it must take to get them to change it?

A bit about it here http://www.marketingweek.co.uk/news/barclays-ad-accused-of-encouraging-parasitic-behaviour/4005488.article I bet many people who complained did not even know what "parasitic" means and thought it was a disability or illness.

Thanks for the link VHG. I thought it was a laugh and not to be taken too seriously.
I had noticed but thought I'd just missed it. It made me laugh and I can only think the complaints have come from those who have never had kids over the age of two.
The advert received 8...yes eight complaints.

Do people honestly have nothing better to do then complain about adverts. I really do give up with this country sometimes.
I noticed it too - I didn't realise there had been such a hue and cry about it. A whole EIGHT PEOPLE had complained about it? A veritable stampede, then. What a load of nonsense. I thought the advert was great as it was. Some people really should get out more if you ask me!
'Taking Offence' appears to be a
(new) national pastime.
You won't believe this but I've even noticed it creeping into the AB world.
