Can a person with an ipad3 use their facetime to call a pc and how do they go about it, does the pc owner need to download anything to receive their calls

You could you use Skype or Yahoo Messenger on the PC with Facetime running on the iPad.

No clear advice there "pinkyboyid" thanks, but the pc has Skype so what is the procedure with facetime or skype to connect with each other, sorry i am not pc/ipad literate.

Since you already have Skype on the PC you could consider using Skype on the iPad which is probably going to be a better option, as there are compatibility issues with Facetime v Skype.

You can only use FaceTime between Apple devices. iPad to iPad to iPhone etc. alternatively download the Skype app onto iPad and onto pc
