I was given a juicer at the weekend.

a) does anyone use one of these or should I just confine it to the back of the "unused kitchen gadgets" cupboard

b) any other ideas, apart from the ubiquitous orange and grapefruit juices?

You'll do one lot of juicing, get half way through washing up and say feck it.......

I've got lot's of good juicing recipes and I've tried them all......I didn't say I make them though.......

It's basically a lump of fresh ginger and half an apple. In a shot glass and down in one. I'm guessing you wouldn't want more than a shot glass of it and it would be a firey start to the day!!!!!!!!!!

lol, Eccles, I think you could be right!
I owned one (very very briefly) and made one surprisingly good juice. I had a load of salad stuff that was past its best (limp lettuce, soft toms, cucumber, radish & beetroot) and it tasted brilliant.

No accounting for taste.

Seems to me to get something worth consuming out, you have to put things that are nice in. So that counts out all suggestions so far.
Juicers are fantastic if you have access to free apples/pears etc in the late summer - that's when we use ours.
