Been given a brace of scotch woodcock, Can anyone come up with a recipe. I have heard that you are supposed to cook them with their innards in . but do not fancy that method. Any ideas would be appreciated. thanks.

Well Scotch woodcock is actualy scrabbled egg on toast topped with Anchovy fillets and capers,

But the trick with any game bird is not to over cook them and it a good idea to cover the breast with streaky bacon roast in a hot oven finishing them breast down so the juices drain into the breast.
