How Long To Wait For Deposit Return

I left my rented flat on 31st December but haven't had my deposit returned to me yet. I have been in touch and they have been promising to pay it into my bank account for 2 weeks. How long do landlords usually have to return deposits?

If it is a 'protected' deposit you should get it back within 10 days of the end of your tenancy. See the Shelter link below.
