Driving my corsa D home today, playing the iPod through the radio. Date and time displaying correctly on the central display, looked a few minutes later and the time changed completely to 6.30 from 15.31 and the year changed to 23/11/2021!

Booked it in to be looked at on Monday but in the meantime has anybody else experienced this or may know why it happened. Everything else is fine. No warning lights or problems with the car running.

TIA

Voltage Surge!

Would that effect anything else TWR? And what would cause that to happen?
Thanks.
I wouldn't put it in to be looked at, they will just change some expensive part.

I would just reset the clock and see if it does it again.

I would however ensure that I had the radio code, in case at some stage it was needed.

If you don't have it, check the radio owner's manual, as there is usually a way to read out the code.

Hi Hopkirk. The car is still under warranty so there will be no charge to me.
I have reset the time but having difficulty with the date. More so the year. You can't just put in 2013, you have to press the button for the number to go up. Would take ages.
